Virgo Translators

Virgo TranslatorsThe Virgo characteristics include being precise, refined, conventional & reserved. They are usually shrewd, observant and critically inclined, balancing these tendencies with judiciousness & patience. Natives of the Virgo sign are supporters of status quo and are inclined toward conservatism in all aspects of their life.

Translators born under the Virgo sign are intellectually enquiring, methodical and logical. They have an innate ability to arrive at a precise and clear analysis of the most complicated problem. The Virgo translator has an excellent eye for detail but can at times be overly meticulous, resulting in the neglect of larger issues. Their inclination to being too exact might occasionally slow down projects.

While Virgo translators are thorough, hard working and conscientious, they are easily discouraged when things go wrong. They find it difficult to grapple with philosophical concepts, preferring to explore an issue from different perspectives. They do not trust others, hence are bad at delegation of responsibility; nor do they have the confidence in their own judgment to take a decision and stand by it.

These qualities make the Virgoan a better subordinate than project leader. Responsibility is not something they are keen to take on. The Virgo translator is essentially a tactician, able to excel at completing the translation projects assigned individually to them, but lacking the strategic vision to manage the project in a leadership role.

As employers they can be very exacting, but make an effort to temper their demands with fairness. As colleagues, they possess an unassuming, cheerful and agreeable manner. They are well spoken, witty and discreet, and are blessed with the ability to understand other people’s problems which they can tackle with a practicality not always evident in their own personal relationships.

Language is a particular strength of the Virgo. They lay emphasis on using it correctly, clearly and formally, making them suited to the translation of legal and other documents that require a formal tone. Additionally they are good at writing, especially reference works such as dictionaries and encyclopedias. Their other areas of strength are the arts & sciences. As translators and interpreters, Virgo natives are ready to assimilate new ideas, but with caution, holding on to earlier ideas and methods that they consider worth keeping.

At the other extreme of their virtues are the Virgo faults. While balanced criticism becomes nagging, concern for detail can become overspecialization. Virgo translators are liable to indecision in wider issues and this can become a chronic problem, turning minor difficulties into humungous crises. This poses a particular challenge to their managers, who need to address these problems before they escalate into something uncontainable.

Are you a Virgo translator? Do you share the same qualities that I mentioned above? Have you come across any Virgo translators?
